I'm focused on moving BB forward towards certain readership goals -- something which should help all of us. And I'm trying to enjoy things along the way of course. I'll certainly endeavor to pick up the new skills if they help us along, Vanessa.

thank you both for your comments. Twitter lists are certainly a needed evolution of the tool into the professional space - completely agree and thanks for raising that point. As for the demographics -we were surprised initially but upon further exploration via interviews with surveytakers learned (reinforced) the reality that the jobs of middle management put them squarely in the middle of tactical and strategic leaving little room for new skills!

"Younger (20-35) and older professionals (55+) are more active users of social tools than middle aged professionals." That is a very interesting finding. I detected a hint of that in (I guess) "online culture" myself, but I was thinking: "Nah, no way, if younger and older professionals are using new online tools, I'd be using them too." I'm actually learning more from people older and younger than me with regard to new online tools than I want to admit.

Thanks for posting this! I find this fascinating and plan to read the whole report. I believe this is definitely the direction decision-making is going. And I think Twitter Lists are leading the way toward making it easier to leverage your peer group for decision making. I blogged about that this week, defining what I call "Trust Sources" which are the equivalent of what these researchers call SMPG, and what we can expect to see change in Search to accomodate them. http://bit.ly/dpPPt
